A few or our gratitudes from the last week:
-Our family's health slowly returning after a nasty cold/sinus bug had us all feeling less than stellar.
-My neti pot! I don't know what I would do without this amazing little gadget to clear my sinuses.
-Hearing coyotes yipping on the mountain behind the house on a clear, crisp, cold night. In my seven years of living out here I have never heard coyotes yipping up there at night so it was a pretty amazing moment.
-Finally listening to my body (lots of anxiety!) and gut instinct telling me the house we had put in an offer on was not the right fit for us like we initially thought it was. It was such a relief to finally talk it out with my husband and we ended our buy/sell agreement. Shortly after that another house came on the market in the area we are looking that actually has a little more land and needs less work but still in our price range so we just put in an offer!
-Our little nugget mimicking things we say and do all day long. It is such a fun developmental stage to watch her learn and grow and say big words like "Chicago" in her sweet baby voice.
-Finding and joining the Homestead Bloggers group. It is so wonderful to connect with a group of like- minded folks online.
-Making homemade squash filled ravioli with our new ravioli press. It was such a fun adventure in the kitchen!
-Being able to lower my daily goals for myself a few days this week as I was healing from the nasty cold. Instead of making a few things for our Etsy shop, I finished a few loads of laundry and felt good about getting that little bit done since I still felt weak and exhausted from being sick.
-Getting to work at an auction all day yesterday in a small rural town about an hour away. I always feel so humbled after spending a day with a large group of hard working farmers and ranchers.
-Hosting our biggest self-sponsored giveaway to date for some of our handmade cloth pads. I'm blown away at how many entries we have had and all the new orders we have had from the extra publicity of our Etsy shop. We are so grateful and feel so blessed!

ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by my blog. Before I moved to Portland, I lived in Missoula (Frenchtown, actually) for a couple of years. Great to find your blog!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of your ravioli press!
ReplyDeleteHope this new house works out for you! Every time I get one of those "feelings" that this is the wrong decision and I ignore it, then I always end up regretting it. I am working hard at being a better listener to myself :)
ReplyDeleteMy little nugget is mimicking us too. It really is an amazing time of development. I am so thankful for this too. <3
ReplyDeleteI am amazed you hadn't hear coyotes before. We have them here in KY and heard them in OH.. comes so close that I am very thankful for our dog.
ReplyDeleteOops... I think my comment just went through before I was finished.
ReplyDeleteGood job listening to your instincts! Our feelings can feel inconvenient, but turn out for the best, huh? :)
