Our New Year Goals

It is that time of year when we wrap up one year and think of our aspirations and dreams for a whole new year ahead. I love the opportunity to sit down, reflect back on the year past and dream for the future.

Here are a few of the goals we have for the next year:

1. Live more self-sufficiently by reducing our debt and in turn reduce the time we need to work away from home at a job in town.

2. Expand our gardens and greenhouse to grow and preserve even more of our food than the last few years.

3. Raise chickens! (I want a milk cow too but I  think that may have to wait until next year's list!)

4. Expand our MontanaSolarCreations Esty shop/business by increasing wholesale orders, keeping our Etsy shop fully stocked and work more local vending events.

5. Grow our Old Montana Treasures Etsy shop where we sell old MT homestead/cowboy relics.

6.  Limit daily time on the computer to sustain a healthy balance of really living and enjoying life while running a small online business from home.

What are some of your goals for the new year?

  1. Great goals! I'd love to have chickens and a cow...but that doesn't work so well living in the city. Oh well.

  3. Awesome goals! I think we are adding some chickens to our home this year since we still live in town. The year we buy a house, we'll be adding a milk cow to our goals as well. ;)

  8. Your goals sound pretty sensible and achievable and I applaud you for them! I know that writing them down is a great step forward to achieving them and I know that by the end of the year you will have fulfilled more than you have planned!

    Good luck!

  9. Those are great goals! I want to get chickens this year, too. And possibly build a little green house.

  10. One of our goals is to expand our garden as well. We have already started planning and are hoping to have it done by March to ensure we will get everything planted in time
