This last week I was grateful for:
-Buds on the lilac bushes, my favorite spring flowers!
-The efforts we've been putting into our Etsy shop being rewarded with sales. This inspires us and motivates us to keep creating as we hope to make this our primary source of income one day.
-Remembering to buy a special mule deer tag for the area we like to hunt before the deadline (I forgot last year and was pretty bummed when hunting season rolled around).
-Listening to my heart and taking action on it. It felt SO good to do that and honor what my body was telling me.
-A beautiful handmade headband I got in a swap for some cloth diapers from Regrow Roots. (Stay tuned for a giveaway later this week for a chance to win one!)
-Having a loving and supportive husband who isn't crabby back to me when I'm having a cranky moment.
-Warm spring air outside.
-Finding a child's doll carrier at the second hand store for $2 and our little nugget wanting to wear it all day everyday so she can carry around her "baby" on her back. Best $2 investment ever!
-Yummy and healthy veggie sushi for supper and our little nugget actually eating some this time!
-My husband encouraging me to take a much needed break and spend the day in the woods at Rock Creek.
-A warm enough day to hang out in the yard and start cutting back the dead growth in the perennial flower gardens from last season.
-An early spring bloom! I was so astounded when the purple caught my eye, usually the bulb flowers are our first to open every spring and not for another few weeks.
-Cleaning out and reorganizing my tiny office. It is so spacious now my husband jokes that we can both go in and dance a jig to celebrate!
-Meeting and connecting with some amazing, inspiring people online.
Look at little Ada! Oh she is so cute. Happy spring Annie!
ReplyDeleteHappy spring to you too Dawn! Hopefully we'll be able to get together one of these days :)
DeleteAren't spring flowers the best! I do love that headband!
ReplyDeleteThe headband looks perfect on you!! What is that flower blooming in the last photo? It's beautiful. Everytime I leave the house I see more daffodils opening up their yellow blooms and it brightens me up inside!
ReplyDeleteI actually have no idea what that flower is and have been trying to research it! I have a couple well established perennial flower gardens that I've added to over the last few years and I know the names of most everything but I'm stumped on this one :)
Deleteoh my the baby doll carrier is so sweet. <3 and yeah for the etsy shop!
ReplyDeleteYour list made me giggle - my other half makes the same joke about dancing a jig every time I tidy a room :)

ReplyDeleteI love the headband! Seeing the flowers blooming in the spring always improves my mood.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a blessed life! Thank you for allowing us to peek at it :)
